Last few days selling any yc item has been like pulling teeth. No one wants to buy. And here's my opinion why.

As an example- when the handheld snow wands where released, about half and half where yc, and the others coins. Great weeeee handhelds for coins. That stopped me spending yc on them. I just bought the coin ones. Who needs to spend yc if there are two coin ones? I just made do with the coin wands. The glasses came out, again some coin some yc - great- I didn't need to buy yc ones - I just bought the coin ones. Then I thought i'd get a couple to sell (yc ones) Nope still got em lol. And no not selling them for huge amounts.
If your going to create the same item just in a different colour, one for yc one for coins. People are going to choose the coins in most cases. Less yc is going to be bought buy yc sellers, simply because no ones buying them. No one needs too. Just my thoughts.

What you reckon am I wrong?

Yeah, or not. They just hired new designers to start making furniture.

Not really related I don't guess but I put a stained glass window in AH a couple days ago. I always start my stuff out at 1c. I think I put a 12 hour timer on it and ended up selling for 1800c. Lol

I always go by color so if the ones I want are yocash Ill buy them and leave the coin ones.
Do you think some of it could also be because the people who dont buy yocash have no way to make coins and people who buy yocash just get their own?
Those people have to start running out of coins eventually.

no one is buying because there is nothing to buy.
we started this game to decorate rooms.
not buy clothes and walk around.
unless they come out with a theme and furniture, this game is doomed.
i for one, will not be buying yc unless i see a theme and furniture. and i dont mean one random bed and random chair. lol
i think they are just too scared to tell us they arent going to be doing themes/furniture so they are putting out a ton of clothes hoping to make some money back.
i think the got in way over their heads and dont know what to do. and if this is the amount of time between themes too? then well... you know what i mean.....

i do see the reason to leave everything in stores. x-mas and other seasonal items was removed after the holiday was over. in the past it gave sellers a chance to sell before they put the new seasonal items in the stores. if you keep inventory in stores year around most players will have the stuff taking the value away.

I think it depends on the awesomeness and the attractiveness of the items. I LOVE what they are doing with the prices. I LOVE that some colors are yc and some colors are coins.

For example, new bikinis. The red one is the most awesome one, and it's yc. Coin ones are more plain and simple compared to yc one. I will definitely go for that red top and bottom because I want that particular bikini not a purple one.

I am also kinda disappointed that we haven't got any coin hats yet.

I think it won't affect yc sales for worse. In the long run, Everything will come to a balance. Less yc dealers mean more people will need to buy their own yc. Less people looking for yc dealers will lower the yc rates, and bring the overall prices to a smooth balance.

BVG has a good strategy on pricing at the moment. And I believe it is totally for good.

I suggest you sell on demand , only buy when you know someone wants the item at an agreed price :)

BVG has given us no reason whatsoever to think that they would do this. They have been very upfront with us. They even said that is WAS harder to find a 3d designer (I assume that is who would do furniture) than they thought but they did find one and hired them a week or so ago. Got to give them a little time. Everyone lives in a "now" world........
BVG created this game. They are well aware of all the aspects and there is no way they would have purchased the game with no intentions of giving us decorating items. That doesn't even make sense. :|

I so agree Renee...many of us love to dress up and socialize and goof off here as well as just decorate and as for it being mentioned about them having only one 3D artist....my daughter is an amazing artist and you would be pretty surprised to see exactly how much work she can do in a very short time span...it really doesn't take several artists to put out a themes worth of art but I am sure they are taking the time to make sure when they do put it out it is going to be a hit. They know what they are doing....we waited months to even have the ability to surf through events with nothing doing in the game....a little time and patience for the company resurrecting the sinking ship is only fair...they have already made it fun and safe to play which absolutely had to be the priority in my opinion.

I agree Borgessa, however I still buy YC stuff, but for ME! If someone wants the item, they can get the coin version. I wish BVG would atleast make the YC stuff special like add animation or as with the sunglasses, make it something we can wear, or change and hold in our hands, or put up on our head (interactive like), then the YC items would make sense. I was going to buy the hair, and the first batch I didn't like because they had stars in it, then the second batch I liked without the stars, but the red I liked cost the most YC, so I thought, "do I really need another red hair? At that price? NO!" so I didn't buy any. I'm getting picker and picker about what I spend my YC on too. So YES! I believe you are dead on with your assessment! :)

I agree with this. Some items needs to be on timers. If they were, people would spend as they always do. When the WhiteGold Ninja Hair and the Blue Ninja Hair were on timers, people were buying and selling like crazy.

Definitely something BVG should consider more often.

must have been a timing thing I bought two and sold both in AH within hours of their release for something like 40 plus K each
was going to keep them but couldn't even SEE them
I get out the calculator and do a rate of 20:1 then look in AH see what stuff is actually getting sold if its more than 20:1 I'll put my starter up a bit but I stick the buy out at 35:1 sometimes stuff sells at a bid sometimes some silly buys for the buy out

LOL I might have cried. I've seen this happen a few times. Folks only go up like the minimum at a time and stuff eventually gets sold cheaply. I didn't sell my cap, so i tried to put it in even cheaper, and the dang AH swallowed in instead. So now i got no hat lol.. Oh the joys of the Ah. Yeah I submitted a ticket.
