TBH, from my experience, it made me richer.. I use to be only worth about 1.5m lol but now that everything has went up, i'm worth around 10m, maybe more.. Like things that use to be worth around 20k went up to 100k+, making me richer... This may be a bad thing for the newer players though because everything is so expensive, like hairs that use to be worth like 10k are now worth 75k+... How do you feel towards the current yoconomy and would you like the old one back?

It's just as broken today as it was the day BVG took over saying they would work to fix it.

I laugh when I hear comments about how "bad" the economy is.

There are obviously no economists playing Yo.

When prices soar and people are spending, spending, spending, that's a STRONG economy.

The only people claiming the economy is "bad" are folks who can't afford to have everything they want and think it should all be easy to get.

Start with what you CAN afford and work your way up. None of us has EVERYTHING.

I think it's still a little unstable. But I predict, that over the years, it may go down. The way I see it, what's happening right now is small, but will have a big affect on the YoEconomy. Some don't notice how it works, or how it might happen. But I think that things will gradually begin to drop.

Hey but that 10M you are worth now might in economical terms be only worth the 1.5M from back then ...

It's a legit question: some hate the prices because they can't afford stuff but some like it because it makes them richer..

I do not have hundreds of millions, but I'm realistic. If there is something I cannot afford, I accept that I cannot have it at the present time. It's just like real life.

You do NOT need to own every item to be prosperous and to have a great time in YoWorld.

My hoarding has brought me a bit of wealth...more than I've ever had before.
So, if you have loads of stuff to sell, then I'd say the Yoconomy is good.
If you don't have stuff to sell, then I'd say it's not so good. There are no ways to make coins right now unless you sell your stuff or buy YC and sell that.

The reason why it's so expensive? A few reasons.

#1. Price Jackers
#2. The butt-load of millions of coins that were introduced into the game by hacking. This caused so many more coins to be in the game than needed, people sold items to hackers, who paid them millions to obtain them, explaining how some people have legit millions now. Since many now have legit millions, they can spend as much as they want of it to get whatever they please, meaning that people would now have the ability to feel that they could sell their items for a lot more. It did not happen naturally, it happened because of cheating. Not all coins may have come from hacking. Now how do I know this? I think BVG has explained this a few times already.

President Yobama hasn't made me any richer. We need a new king. We need a new government. Where is my pitchfork?

It is a game. Items go up. Items go down. Enjoy your time.....that is where the real value is. ;)

But this is all beside the point. It is what it is NOW.

And what it is now is a very strong economy where people are buying and buying some more. And this in the long run benefits everyone right down the line, up to and including BVG, who are going to sell more YC because of it.

Or hurt BVG when it chases newer people out of the game because they can't afford anything....which in turn will cause the brand new player to quit within a week of trying to play.

Double ended sword.

I, obviously, can afford pretty much any item that I wanna buy and pay whatever ridiculous amount it takes to get it...plus I have plenty of inventory that I could potentially sell for a ridiculous amount of coin to buy some more ridiculous priced crap....

The economy of this game is completely broken and because of how it became broken there is almost no way to fix it.

I saw your point, but that's not what I responded to, I am simply stating why the YoEconomy is messed up. Also, the reason people are buying, and the economy is strong as you see it, is because of, again, the cheats.

New items people actually want are the only way the game will survive - period. When people want new stuff, the options are limited to get them - buy yo cash or find a dealer. If the stuff is out of reach, they won't try. We will see the path of the game over the summer. The yo economy won't be anything if BVG's real economy doesn't get to the black.

AND another thing. The only reason I don't see this as a good economy, is because it's only benefiting the wealthier players, but not the new ones. A good economy, should benefit everyone to some extent, right? When new players come in, and look at the prices, is it gonna encourage them to keep playing?
