Of all the events, this "Dating" sub-category, as well as ANY and ALL posted outside the sub-category are the most inappropriate and troublesome because of their highly objectionable content.
Some posted actually border on adult pornography, based on the opening title, and should be relegated to the garbage, besides being reported.
Some posted target younger gamers, in most particularly 15 and younger, with some actually asking for ages of 11-15.
The authors of said should have their accounts permanently revoked, and the content removed for cause.
Some events on this actually solicit monies for participation, which, not only is against the rules; but, can be construed as illegal solicitation and pandering, as it calls for camera usage/Skype usage.
These are also shown/posted on other events, and should be reported on.
The entire "Dating" category should be removed and penalties rendered for their content, as well as for any future postings within the entire "Events" department.

Best to just report the ones that are questionable and obscene, for BVG to be able to do their 'stuff' on the original event starter. I think that if that 'dating' event tab, were to be taken off.. the types of ppl who start these types of events will just move over to another event tab so as to solicit their.. um request?!! . I personally can't comprehend why someone would want to partake in that sort of activity in this game.. I mean isn't that why IMVU is out there!? just for that sort of behaviour… anyway .. just my take on this subject. I do rather enjoy 'reporting' the gross ones! :P

I agree that those that target kids under 18 and seek skype partners or objectionable materials, the users should be banned permanently.

I don't see a problem with having a dating category however. If adults in the game wish to date that is their business.

The "Dating" section of the events, in my opinion, isn't the issue. The issue is the immature people. Even if it is removed, their events will probably move over to "Jobs" and some already are in "Parties&Music"

Some people are just immature, over and under 18.

These 'events' are also posted in other 'sub-events'...equally objectionable in content...

Those of highly objectionable content are reported...vis a vis the little red dot...

Going for the young ones, yes, that should be stopped. The rest? I couldn't care less what two or more consenting adults are doing....it's completely their business. And if you don't like dating events..... Just stay away, then! Simple....... 8-)

I'm just honestly hoping that people are smart enough to avoid that LOL!
Haven't your parents talked to you about strangers?

A week or so ago I saw a "slave auction". Curiosity peeked, so I went. There were gobs of avatars there, bidding on other avatars who would then become their slaves. One girl said she was 13 years old and was discussing the most inappropriate adult things...

It was weird and I just had to SMH and leave, lol.

ID rather see dating events before I see > Help I was hacked! (<New people might get a little worried about being hacked) or Come for free coins, rares and costumes just read message box for details or Double coins etc

I can deal with "dating events" but people losing their coins and/or accounts to scamming low lifes is what really bothers me.

In a perfect world, that would happen. But in reality, some parents don't bother. In that case, the community can step up to help keep kids safe online. No, it's not our "responsibility," but it is the right thing to do when parents are irresponsible.

What we need is in-game moderators who continually monitor the events postings and go to questionable events to see what is going on and take appropriate action.

I made and event once and a person came to it and wanted to be my slave. he refused to leave. So finally I got fed up and said, FINE. go get me 10 likes on my page. HE did. in 5 minutes. then he left. Too bad I did not have chains on him. I never saw him again. lol

I agree, I believe that the dating section should be removed entirely. It's what motivates some nasty events.

I wouldn't be surprised if the ones looking for the younger kids 11-15 or whatever are actually kids themselves..i see it a lot on here little kids in the summer with access to Yoworld . So many parents do not supervise their kids and all they need do is lie on the application for admittance to the game about their age. I know my step daughter joined yoville when she was 13 and all she had to do was put her age as being 22 and no questions asked. I took over her account when i realized what she had done and supervised it. had her passwords etc and went in to her game and deleted questionable friends and monitored her activity including showing up at her "events" to see what she was doing. But many parents don't and don't even know what their kids are doing on the internet let alone in yoworld.

I don't use it and I don't care. I just stay out of it. People watch your kids. It's a social game.

and yet, another demand from a player to the owners. i feel bad for bvg, having all these kinds of demands thrown at them via email, forum, pm's and fb msg's

this has ALWAYS been an issue for some people. this is not new. taking away dating events is NOT going to lessen the amount of smut we all see ingame most days. if people are into that kind of thing, they will find a way to do it. and if they take away the dating events section, then it will drift over even more to every other category, with even more subtle ways to bring it in
