First of all, I feel really discomfortable about this issue has become such a big thing. Because, this is a game and we are here to have fun, not for breaking eachother's hearts out of silly reasons.

Last night, after my friend Sooz kindly surprised me with this last piano I needeed for my museum, which we had been looking for since a considerably huge amount of time, I left forums and went in game for decorating.

When I came back to check forums one more time before I went to bed, I saw my thread "Dear Yorehab..." turned in to a war zone. Soon I realized why, yorehab agents were involved.

I managed to read almost the whole thread, and here is the summery of what really happened and what I think,

When agents first came to the thread, they said they wanted to let me know that the piano's price was adjusted according to valid trades that had been being observed, so that it wasn't because of me looking for it all the time, and I wasn't the only one who wanted to buy it. They said they didn't want me to feel like it was jacked because of me.

Well, so far so good. But later, there was a noticable conflict in their words.
I told them that, some of my friends had been making WTB events, offering an over-price for the item in order to get it for me. They said, how would they know that those events were made by my friends. The answer is, "it doesn't matter". As long as there haven't any actual trades happened, they shouldn't have updated the price on the website. Because as they say, yorehab's prices are updated based on actual trades in the first place and not based on WTB events.

Ok, as a response to that, they said there were other people buying and selling this item for that high price they recently listed. Cool. This rose these questions:

- If so many people were trading this particular item recently, I mean so many that directly affects the general price of the item,
- Why couldn't we find any sellers even though we had been looking 7/24
- Why didn't any seller come to my and my firends' events
- Why didn't any seller posted on my WTB thread on trading forums

ANSWER: Because they weren't any real trades going on.

Also, while, all these were being talked about in this hot thread, why didn't anyone come and say such a thing like: "I bought that piano for 500k 2 days ago" along with some others saying "me too" It is obvious that most of the active players and forumers saw this thread for sure.

I saw the pictures agents posted to prove some wtb's and an in game trade. One pic, belongs to my friend who was looking for the piano for me. The other pic was taken 4minutes before the agent posted it. And the 3rd, in game picture was cropped, and the conversation seen in the chat log was created just for posting there. Can you imagine such a trade?

seller: I have piano (didn't mention which piano)
buyer: hm pls can you do lower? (doesn't know which piano, yet the seller didn't mention any price but she is already asking for a discount?)

Image

Also take a look at the seller's avatar. I don't judge any player by their avatar's looks but honestly, how many female players that has enough items and experience to hold an event for selling an expired item for 500k, in this game would actually prefer that starter hair?

Yes, we can say may be they talked about which piano it was before, yes we can say an experienced player can prefer wearing a starter hair & clothing, it's not impossible.

But one thing is for sure, those pictures do not prove anything. There are a lot of maybe's and unknowns and suspicious details.

The conclusion I came to is, the recent outrageous price change on this specific item happened like this: I am writing the most likely possible scenario according to what we have, what I understood;

Some agent/s saw those events my friends were making to get the piano for me, they also saw me looking for it on forums all the time and seeing there were no sellers, they thought this item was more rare than known, so they "felt" like updating the price of it to 500k was good for that item.
The problem and the reason why so much drama happened is the fact that they failed to hold the situation calmly and most importantly they failed to keep it honest.

Why was it so hard to say, "sorry everyone, there might be a mistake, we will look in to it"
Instead of saying that they desperately tried to convince everyone that they update was logical and valid. Sorry but no. It wasn't.

I am also sorry that some people attacked the agents' a bit too much and most of them also failed to see they are most likely just "young" and attacking them that way made them make more mistakes such as trying to "create" proofs.

Anyways, I am so sorry for the whole negative thing that has happened. I hope yorehab will be more careful on updating their prices correctly in the future. Most of us use those price guides, and want to see them function properly and honestly.

Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who was interested, who helped me on my search, wished me goodluck, bumped my thread, thanks to Sooz, who wasted* her coins on AH to get me the dang fugly piano, thanks to Kim and JP who sent me 2 extra pianos that I saw in my giftbox when I woke up. I sent Kim's piano back as she asked me to do so, and keeping JP's for passing on to someone else who may need it later as we agreed via in game messages. Just saying if anyone is wondering. :)

The funny thing is if you google "mississippi piano yoworld" / images you will directly come across to ME ! LOL Hillarious isn't it?

I also apologise from BVG for unintentionlly creating a thread that led to such a drama on forums. It was totally out of my control after some point. Sorry for that. If possible, please make this thread a read-only so no more hard discussion will happen on this subject. Also no hard feelings if you decide to remove this too.

Thanks.

Veronica.

Veronica, you are my hero! I admire this post. I admire speaking out against corruption. I consider price fixing corruption. I have been paying a great deal of attention to the piano search as I was looking for one for you myself. I did not post any events but I know there were none out there.

They need to be exposed.

smh thanks for yet another thread rehashing a deleted thread that was filled with garbage and stupidity

here comes another

Who cares about this piano? Buy it, sell it, play it, lick it - whateverrrrrr

If you don't like the price in a PG then buy, sell or whatever for what you want.

Go play the game and have fun and let this poor piano alone - omgggggg

Kudos on a well written and surmised post.
And kudos for bringing it to light. While I can understand being uncomfortable with the way it progressed, you did a service to the community by bringing it all out into the open.
It may be a messy road but nothing worth it is ever easy ;)

Congratulations on finally getting your last piano. That's awesome!

I got to read part of that thread early this morning but couldn't make it through all of it............I'll just leave it at that.

Yes they did delete it. It was the page open on my phone and when I tried to go to next page it said no topic found. Probably for the best.

Calm down please don't light a sparkle again that can lead another fire. It is not about the piano any more. It is about the attitude of a price guide and their way or working. It could be any item. This just became a specific, clear example. That's it. Also, if you aren't happy with this thread, mouse is in your hand, just move to any where on the forums you feel comfortable. Thank you for your interest.

Thanks for the synopsis.
I'm glad more folks were around to see what happened...and that in my opinion, a lot was revealed.

You calm down. It's a public forum. If you post, I can comment - if you don't like my 2 cents - no refunds are given. LMAO at feeling comfortable - I'm fine thanks albeit a little chilly in this room but going out for lunch soon - thanks for your concern. Thanks for your interest on my interest.

I applaud you for writing this and for bringing this into the light. Im still in shock over the latest revelations that came out yesterday. Those methods of accruing the prices which they put down in the guide is .. non-relaiable in my eyes anymore.. that accommodated with the inside trading (re: confirmed coin sellers within the group) .. make it all way to .. corrupt. and quite frankly .. scandalous hence all these threads/posts here on this forum.

People have opinions and people need to share their thoughts on all of this.. its how we learn from our mistakes :)

ROTFL you're happy that one is gone so you can start a new one rehashing it - how does this make any kind of logical sense? If you were happy it was gone, then why not let it lie dead?

I have 2 things to add.

1. I also looked for the piano for the last weekish.
2. There WERE events, or should I say event. I posted one offering 1 million coins for piano, after about 25-30 wrong pianos I went to bed, lol.

Anyway, glad you got it finally and extras!

Thank you for summarizing so beautifully. I wonder how many people have the piano and how many would part with it. I found out late last night that I have it, I found it in my Canadian home. I would have happily gifted it to you. I just wonder how rare it truly is.

Your ordeal spoke to me because I went through the same thing. I was looking for Pixie's Catch the Glow and suddenly YoRehab doubled the price :(
