My friend was banned because she was getting reported non stop because of her prices at an event. Right after that event she refreshed and said she was banned and to contact BVG in an email. How long does it take for a reply and will she get her yoworld back? I think it was pretty unfair.

Longer than a week? I mean I think BVG should look into why a person is getting reported before they actually ban them.

What will you do about scamming?

We aim to put more steps in place to protect people from being misled by other players. There are many cases where a trade goes ahead and both players get what they asked for, but later regret can occur. For this reason we have a policy of not reversing trades.

I think BVG makes it easy for people to get scammed. The newest scam includes someone looking for a yc dealer and the auction house. TAKE THE YC part of the auction house out! people say they want something from the auction house that is yc and it would really be their item. I almost got fooled by this one too!

Excuse me if my memory is a little bad or if this never happened , i'm a little tired right now. But in my head i can recall a post by Greg i think it was saying there will be a time period of bans due to excessive reporting. I think it was 24 hours for the first , 48 for the second , and 3rd time is a permanent ban .

I think i might be making this up , sorry been up all night so don't take my word for it. Have your friend email BVG and they will tell her why she was banned. All she can do is wait for a reply. :ugeek:

I don't know but she should contact them. Sometimes it takes a while for them to answer since they said they have plenty of complaints.
By the way, that hair is awesome.

I do not believe for a second that BVG is using an auto-ban system. It's not consistent with how they roll.

Greg and Gary have both been pretty frank about what can get you banned, but I do believe they have consistently stated that any reports would be reviewed before they are acted upon. I could be wrong as well, but an auto-ban system just does not seem in keeping with how they are doing things.

Also, I think you are thinking of event specific bans, not bans in general.

I disagree, I sell legit through the auction house for yc all the time and think taking it out would be unfair to those who do not scam and it would of course put more coins into the pockets of those who sell yc for profit since they could raise their rates even higher as a result. hmmmmm

Hmm i really have no idea of what i'm thinking about , maybe i'm thinking of the event bans Zynga had in place when they owned the game. Yeah, i think that's what i was thinking of.

This had to do with hate speech and bullying. It was a 3 counts and you're out thing.

Caveat emptor. Banning legit people because some people take advantage is not good business. It's up to the consumer, you, to be educated about spending your money in game, and this includes trades and YC dealing.

It must have been in a Q & A session, I seem to recall those 3 chances and ban times too, was it just talking about the bans you can incur over time, by making bad events? I don't think it was in reference to in game bans tho. :D

I fail to see how this is BVG's fault. Most YC dealers know better than to go near the auction house.

Am I understanding this correctly: If you make an event, and even though you are doing nothing
wrong you can be banned if someone just wants to report you cause they don't like your selling price or if you
make an event to buy something and you don't like the person's selling price that stopped in your "wtb" event? :?

Oh, ahhh, now I'm afraid to make an event.

It had to do with hate speech and bullying. This was on the FB group when someone got banned for saying something racist. Then Greg started a 3 shots and you're out deal.

The event banning had to do with event names but they've put in filters since then.
