today I am unable to exit the YoWorld App, I collected my bonus' and then went to sign out, so that my daughter could do hers, but it wont let me sign out of the app ...
this is very annoying as we use the app to collect our bonus' and me being the only one able to access the app means that my daughter will miss out on her bonus'.
I have uninstalled the app 4 or 5 times to try and reset it somehow, to no avail and have reported the issue.

Please let me know if anyone else is having this issue as its very annoying and causing problems in the household... :wailing: :wailing: :wailing:

ps I can sign in and out of the fb version of YoWorld

Hey MsPeela are you still signed in on Facebook when you are trying to sign out?. You may need to sign out of the actual Facebook and clear your browser cache.

This recent thread might also help of how other players have managed to Sign out of the Desktop App .

thanks for this ... but I followed his instructions to no avail ... even shut down the computer after clearing cache & cookies ... but for some reason it keeps opening in my fb games .... I downloaded the app from my YoWorld window up the top where it says download (after deleting the app from my computer) ... but its definitely not the actual APP that I cant sign out of because the page looks different and I cant refresh it either there is no icon to do that ... so I suppose you could say its totally got me bamboozled ... :wailing: :wailing: lets hope my ticket yields some help cos its really annoying and only started this morning (my time) was fine yesterday ...

Yesterday mine starting acting weird, too. Taking me to Facebook. And also freezing. Can't exit.

Welcome to the forums Kimpony :)

It would appear that there are quite a few problems affecting the game right now and the Fix-It Vikings are already working to resolve them. This issue about not being able to log out from the DTA is probably linked.

I am having the same issue, I can't log out of the desktop application as well so my partner can log in and play, have cleared browser, un and re- installed desktop app, still not able to log out, and yes I have cleared cache and logged out of the browser on Facebook, desktop app page looks weird too, not like it usually looks :(

Hey Shawn, thanks for posting. This issue is probably connected to the other issues the Vikings have identified and are working on now to resolve. If after the fix has been uploaded (tbc) and you are still having issues, then submitting a ticket will be the next step.

got a reply from YoWorld help .... with instructions ... which I followed to a tee ....

and after much refreshing/clearing/reloading .... I have managed to sign out and it appears my app page is back to normal ... **crossing fingers here** :shh: :shh:

will post the instructions here in case somebody needs them:

Due to our Desktop Application having trouble clearing out data from previous accounts logged in, there is a specific order in which you have the highest success rate to log out of one account and log in another, which I have provided the steps for below.

1. Log out Desktop App
2. Log out of Facebook in your browser
3. Clear cache on this browser
4. Close the Desktop App and your browser using Windows Task Manager
5. Restart and refresh the Desktop App
*Please make sure that you follow these instructions, while keeping in mind that even then this issue might not be resolved, as this issue is at the core of how Facebook and our Desktop App communicate with each other.

well sadly it only lasted until this morning .... now Im back to not being able to sign out again ....

so will have to go through the whole process again ... and fingers crossed it lasts a bit longer ... :wailing: :wailing:

I started experiencing this problem about 2 days ago after my FB game screen changed & became weird. I reported the weird game page & to cut a long story short, I discovered that when I clicked on the "switch accounts" feature and then clicked on another family members name, it logged me out. It has worked again for me today so maybe give this a try and see what happens.Hopefully it will work for you also. Good Luck!

thanks Miss M ... but sadly I dont have the "switch account" option on the APP .... so I have had to get my niece to collect my bonus from the APP on her computer every day as to do so would jeopardize my daughters being able to use it to collect her bonus' ...

I can collect the rest of my bonus things in a normal browser and my daughter has no issues collecting all hers in the APP .... it just appears to have an issue with my account... its not ideal, but its a working around that (until my niece gets tired of it) is making me able to collect my APP bonus and not lock in my account to the exclusion of my daughters account...
I havent tried again with the APP as it took so long to go through the fix given to me by Help that I dont want to have to do it twice if it doesnt work ... :wailing: :wailing:
