Was looking at a house I decorated a few years ago, trying to figure out what furniture I had in the living room. There is a blank spot where the sofa and chairs and TV used to be. Can't figure that one out. Anyhow, I noticed the black space all around the room. Was wondering what rugs would go best with my flooring (Tiki Large Weave). Then I thought it would be neat if we could get blank floor extensions that would mimic whatever flooring we are using. Or I guess rugs to match our flooring.

It's late. Don't even know if this made sense. Just wish I could have more options in to extend my floors to fill in the black spaces that match my decor.

I guess that's the challenge. :)

It makes sense, yes. As for what we currently have in the stores, I find the wooden floors tiles from the White House theme are really versatile.

It makes perfect sense to me. I love the flooring in white house theme because it matches the light wood depot floor perfectly but I don't want the same flooring in all of my homes. I wish we could get more of those tiles to match other depot flooring that is available. Now I don't know if I made sense.

I don't understand the black spaces, I mean if they made it an extended floor, it would make decorating and homes SOoo much nicer! :D

Thanks for letting me know I'm not completely incoherent!

Thanks for the tip about the White House tiles. Will go look now. Guess I'm going to try to find a group to learn how to do all these awesome multi-level rooms people do. Right now I'm trying to learn what works well for stairs. There are some shelves in the Camp section but sometimes they don't line up right.

It's a fun quest to fill the time.

There are a bunch in the Luxury section that are great for stairs. The living room section has great wooden ones and the bathroom has some shiny colored glassy ones :) Happy decorating!

To be honest, I still level some rooms that don't have black space. Just for the fun of it. But it is nice to not have to.

Here are a few of the items that I have used as stairs and some of them are really cheap and some were free! ;)

Well, those are amazing. Those tables you made the curved staircase out of! Okay, it's all about looking at ordinary items differently. Going to go look through my hoard, er, storage and see what I can find. Thanks again for the ideas. I think a light bulb may be going on in my brain.

I've been wishing for years that they would make floor tiles and wall panels that actually MATCH the wallpapers and floorings.

Thank you and you're welcome. I always love looking at other players creative designs it seems to help get the creative juices flowing.
Speaking of hoards reminds me. I was creating a general store in my wild west home and thought I remembered a coffee mill from one of the themes (possibly rainforest?). I went searching through my hoards (I'm a hoarder too  ) looking for it but never found one. Can anyone tell me if it was my imagination or do we have a coffee mill in Yo?

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't find one in all my searches either. I either imagined it or got it confused with another item, perhaps the hourglass or ice cream maker. I'm a little goofy like that.

We had a bunch of coffee makers but as far as grinders, I'm thinking that ice cream maker is the closest thing. Unless you meant the espresso makers with the cranks on them?
