Does anyone know if it's different and/or I'm dumb, :D

You might need to change your chrome settings and disable the chrome flash. To do that, type chrome://plugins into your address bar and you will see 2 different flash players - one is chrome's and one is your computer's. Make sure to disable the chrome one and it should work again for you.

Hmm, I just looked on mine and I only saw the adobe one, so I guess it has changed. It used to be when chrome updated flash you had to disable their version to do black spaces. I saw someone else mention they can't do it now either. Mine works, but I don't know what to tell ya :( Hope someone can help, though.

Download the Cool Novo Browser from a trusted site.
I hadn't been able to black space design in about a year
until someone told me to get that browser.
It's super fast and it fixed a lot of issues I was having
with both FaceBook and YoVille.

If you don't like it, you can always uninstall it.
But all I do is left click, right click, drag and then let go of the right click.
Very easy with that browser.

Hope that helps.

I used to do that to but had to do it only on Explorer, but have since found out recently that it's a left click right and then another left click to drop it where you want, this works great on firefox for me.

I do some left click drag down to white, right click, then left click to place the item. Chrome with no change to settings.

i couldn't put anything in the 'black' before , disabled pepperflash on chrome and now I can just drag stuff around and make it go
don't really need the left, right click at all

Seems like, I have not been able to do that in some time? Maybe it was a glitch when "the other side" had the game.?

I really hate the black spaces so mostly i either leave it black or i just try to put furniture or walls or something that can cover it up.

Wish we could just been able to decorate it like we do with the rooms or if we had a feature that we could choose how we want the rooms small or big.

I had the exact same issue with Google Chrome, and switch to Firefox now, everytime I want to decorate.
There it works perfectly fine.

Thank you for sharing this tip, I tried it and it works! I can finally fill in black spaces while using Chrome and I didn't have to change any flash settings or anything either. :)

Previously I would switch to Firefox when I needed to fill in the black spaces, but that always felt like a hassle.
