I checked my computer, but no keylogger. I ran my virus scanner, and even downloaded malwarebytes to get ride of anything that might be wrong with my computer. I got ride of some junk, but that's about it.
And I only think it could be a keylogger because it is impossible to guess the password I made...and I changed my password 3 times that day until I found one I figured would be impossible to ever get.

And what's the apartment link thing? I know what you're talking about (where u can see all the stuff), but what will that do?

That's why I'm mad though! I'm fine with quitting (I don't want to, but I'm probably just going to because this destroyed me on the inside). I could handle losing what I lost (not that well, but I can) as long as they at least brought justice to the community by banning the guy/girl....but they didn't. They didn't even look into it. (Don't misread my typings, I'm typing this calmly right now).

But because they didn't even look into it, he is still out there and he will do it again! They could have stopped it with me, but now he is going to go on stealing from others until he decided he's bored of it. That isn't fair to anyone... I'm fine taking one for the team, but not going down and nothing changes.

That is why I posted this on the forum, I want something to get done. Even if I lost/lose everything on my game, as long as the person who did this to me was taken down, I'd be content.

I'm sorry that happened to you Garrett. I hope whoever hacked into your account at least got banned.

Hi Garrett,

Please do not post correspondence between support and yourself here. It is a private conversation regarding your account. I will edit it out.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about the fact that you were scammed. We hate to see people being taken advantage of, and we do take this very seriously. We're working on an authenticator app for YoWorld to help protect your account against such things.

That being said, we gave these issues a lot of thought when we took over the game, and decided we had to enact a policy of not reversing trades or auctions. There are multiple reasons for this, but the most important of them is that it is impossible for us to verify the actual circumstances behind a trade or auction. We see a lot of outside trading, buyers remorse, collusion between players to try and deceive us etc. This isn't to say that we don't believe your particular story, but we have to adopt a blanket policy when it comes to this sort of thing.

Ultimately (and I say this for the benefit of everyone reading), keeping your account safe is the most important thing you can do. You should never share your login with anyone under any circumstances. We will never ask for your email or password. Don't run any YoWorld helper programs, and especially don't believe anyone that says they can double your coins or clone your items.

I know that many were happy when trading on the same ip addy was enabled, including myself, but this is one MAJOR reason it should have remained the way it was. I'm sorry you lost everything, I have an extra of each re-released costumes that you lost, and I'd be happy to give them to you to help you get back on your feet. :)

Can you look into it though? It's hardly buyers remorse when I lost everything worth anything, and only had 20 coins (I'm assuming there were 2 trades, in which the other party put in 10c per trade).
I mean, there is no way that could just be considered buyers remorse (putting in millions, and rare items for 10c). He also spent all of my yc...can you at least look into that? If I can't get my stuff back, fine...I'll deal with it, but you have to take this person down! He's definitely going to do it again if unchecked...I don't want another person to lose everything and decide to quit because of it...At least not from this guy because I can do something about it.

Buyers remorse is an example of why the policy was enacted, not any commentary on your situation. We will absolutely be looking into the person you mentioned. we just can't retrieve anything from their account.

Thanks :)
That would definitely be appreciated, YBL. If you decide to change your mind, that's ok too; I'm just glad there are a lot of kind people playing this game who would even offer something like that.

If you make an event we can trade for them, my inventory loads so slowly, it makes gifting an absolute nightmare. lol

In his case, even though I agree that it could be his mistake in the first place by failing at protecting his account well enough.

On the other hand, not everyone is computer & internet geniouses or experts. People may accidentally leave an open door to those hackers unknowingly. Our virus protection can malfunction, expire or anything you can think of can happen on our computers.
No matter what, stealing digital belongings of a person is a crime and must be investigated. They can easily track to which account and/or accounts those specific items were transferred on that date. It was a bulk transfer and can be identified very easily.

I don't see why they don't want to help him. Same thing can happen to any of us.
May be he couldn't explain well what happened, may the one who read his ticket was just too lazy to pay attention.

I think one of his mistakes is also using the word "scam". There is no scam here. As far as I see, he was literally hacked.

YBL, I will make an event...should I just make it something random like calling YBL in performace or something?
And MrSee, that would be amazing...Do I PM on here? I don't know how, if that is the case. :/

i'm confused. it sounds like Garrett's account was broken into, according to him somehow without him engaging in risky behavior.

it was not him who did the trades that transferred his items, coins and yc to another player.

why would this be considered a "trade" which could not be reversed if the stuff was stolen via someone hacking?

it seems Gary is saying Garrett traded and should have known better, whereas what i'm reading from Garrett, he had nothing to do with it, stuff was hacked. "Scammed" is not the right word for it.

i'm sure there is more to it, but i'd like to know that if there are holes in the system (being able to trade between accounts w/ same ip address) that allow this to happen to players who do nothing to endanger their security, that BVG would look into it more.

I am sorry that happend to you but I don't agree with the g4g thing most g4gs now a days are real and the only scammers are the noobs wanting to scam the rich people. I've been to hundreds g4g this month and I've probably been scammed like 3 times and most events I do extreme g4g and nothing bad happens.
