I don't know though...you can go through your stuff that's really old and sell.... it doesn't take long to build coins that way so I don't know how they could really take coins people made honestly...but I think they have made a good purge of generated coins.

Look at it this way.

If a large amount of coins were purged (or removed) from the game, players would have less coins, depending on the player, correct?

Well, how can prices continue on going the way that they currently are in the YoEconomy, if there are less people who can afford it, due to the removal or absence of a significant amount of YoCoins? If people want to continue selling things, they might have to lower their prices so that more people can buy and they can sell much more and much faster.

The economy of the game is how it is now due to the fact that there ware waaaay too many coins in the game, the average YoWorlder has over 500k, and people take advantage of that and sell things for more.

In my opinion, the economy is not broken.

I do think more opportunities to earn coin is in order though, and I know BVG has that planned.

BVG needs to figure out a way to remove a lot of coins from the game.

The best way for them to have done this is when they took over and simply stated the Z code for coins was broken and they can't recreate totals so we all would have started with 0 or they would have just loaded in say 1m coins to everyone.

Now, they need to start pricing certain random items, in store, for 100k, 200k, 500k, 1m to get players to lose their coin totals. With prices that high, they better be quality items though too.

You can make coins from selling, of course, that's always an option, but all that's happening there is a transfer of coins, will you not spend those coins later on on something from the stores? What happens when you buy something from the stores? The coins go poof, and no longer exists.

Purging can be done in various ways, such as raising the prices of the average coin item in stores, which is already being done. The more people buy things from the store, the more coins go poof. Its a slow process, but that's how it would work.

I don't know why people think adding more coins into this will fix it.

The richer will only get richer and item prices, on the aftermarket, will just go higher and higher.

I would have no issues with that...we are choosing how to spend and not just having them taken.

Most of the rich people I know have played the game for 4-6 years buying yo cash regularly and playing the trade game....the more time you play the richer u get...it happens...I have no issue with people being rich :)

I suppose they should keep going down the path they are in now..Keep bonking all of them exploiters/scripters with the bonk hammer and just hope things simmer down....Ooooooooooor as some had previously suggested here under Discussions, take money away from the people who have millions! I honestly have no idea..cross your fingers!

The circulation of so many coins is the problem. They have to come up with a creative way to eliminate coins. One way is raising coin item prices in stores. Average coin making players wont like it. Another potential way is through the AH. Instead of increasing commission just compete with other sellers, by selling high-end items for maybe 20% of what the going item is selling. Those coins would then come out of circulation and out of the game. Without affecting the trading aspect of the game much.

More legit coins would balance the wealth more, giving those with less coins a chance to get some cool stuff.

With a better chance of obtaining a rarer item for all players, the values would plateau or perhaps drop a bit, because they would no longer be seen as "elite" by some.

We are already seeing this happen a bit, mainly due to releasing the unreleased items.
