Me too - that's why I loved the room ratings so much - many players would hold events to showcase their creations. It was at one of this rate up parties I actually met Carlos

I REALLY miss those old rate up parties. I loved going to events to see how the clever people were decorating. Those were the great days before the homes that come pre-decorated. All the forced perspective, pictures created with free items, homes where you could change the wallpaper outside and in. Like Rod said.... good times.

They were fun, those rating parties!

i am grateful for what i have. zynga shutting down all the others games players spent years investing in. we are the lucky ones. i respect all the players, mostly the players who played yo on myspace. most missed out on moving there stuff to facebook they had or are rebuilding. i really do not see lots complaining about it.

I guess I don't play for status. I buy what I want, because I like it, not b/c of the pricetag. If I cannot buy yc, I try to farm the coins or sell other items I have to get it. I don't expect to be handed anything. The game is what you make of it.

That is exactly right. I am blessed with really good friends in this game. That applies to the forum too. There are some really good people here.

I'm late to this discussion, but I really don't appreciate people looking down at those who hang at Altons. There are all kinds there. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Sure there are beggars and scammers. There are also intelligent, fun, silly, awesome people there. If you don't want to go meet them, then don't, but don't look down on them.

I'm getting pretty tired of the rich vs poor thing myself. I'd like to think that I judge people by character and not what they wear.

Exactly, Alton's can be a lot of fun. There are good people who hang out there too. I hope you didn't think my comment meant that about people at Alton, cause then I would be dissing myself..... :lol:
