You could always put out chairs to keep it more fair and organized....have the winners take a seat.... put up some white boards with some simple rules, and whala...fun event accomplished. I applaud your desire to hold nice events like that for others, your heart is in the right place. :) Don't let one lil glitch in the plan dissuade you from doing something nice.

I sometimes go to random junk sales, watch the seller for a bit. When you observe carefully it is realy easy to tell if they are real noob or not. I just buy a random freebie for 10-20k and leave.

Calling people to an event for a give away literally means chaos.

Wow, that's very generous of you to host the event. Sadly, people are getting more greedy in YoWorld. Any opportunity they have to win free items, they go for it. Fortunately, you can still be kind xD It's just the people who aren't. Yes, I prefer honesty as well, but it's quite difficult to find honest people at an event like that. Everybody wants the 25k, so many will be dishonest. Stay kind <3 :)

Ive tried helping people too. One actually complained i didn't give her enough and i said you should be thankful anyone stopped to give you any. Personally i think some of the people just are regulars pretending for extra cash. I couldn't believe when she asked how much i had, if i'd give her yo-cash, free items, and then went off on me for only giving her 5k. Now, i dont help any new players beyond telling them were the briefcase is so they can work for there money like we all do. Some actually say no, i cant do that. -sigh- Now, i just go to cheap sales and give a little extra then they ask. They throw in fun little items for the generosity and i feel happier that way then the other.

I do this ALL THE TIME. For fun. and because it's nice. I always feel bad when I walk in to a sale and see a bunch of freebies or honestly-picked items, all organized and lined up... I'll ask how much for something small, and if they give me a totally fair but obviously low answer I feel even more sympathy and buy it and haggle drop like 20k instead of what ever they asked LOL.

I didn't read this whole thread, so if someone already suggested this, me bad.

I did something like this...but with Hats.
I made a thread in the Wishlist section and said the first 20 people to comment, will get a hat of my choice. No whining...they get what they get and won't be upset!
As people posted, I delivered the hats.
It worked out real well.

My concern with giving is that these greedy people may be the very people that were banned and come back to start over!

I usually do the overpay for items thing because at least at sales they are trying to work for it and not just beg. Those people don't have the entitlement attitude either.

I tried to have a noob sale for newbies to get cheap stuff once. I got two thankful newbies, a bunch of rich looking to resell, the "I buy all" crowd and last but not least the ones who called me names for whatever reason.

I think I'll just stick to overpaying. :P

You could do it on the forum as well. Then you could see who actually posted first. It's nice that you did that. I gave out some gifts yesterday at random at the altons.
