I saw a picture of him from a party last night and you could see them, so yes they can be seen in game.

If you look at the thread where he was answering questions, he popped into an in game party and yes they show up. There are screen shots of it.

I reckon they will be released but they tease us first to see how bad we want the items. Btw I love that they have the unique items but of course we will want them and they will just have to stay one step ahead of the the pack
